Default Battery Guru's

I had brought my jk in for an alinement and balljoint change. When I got it back, lights wouldn't turn off, no blinkers. Called when I got home, they said they had to jump the jk twice cause the lights wouldn't turn off. Gee, thanks for letting me drive off without telling me. Anyway, got home, pulled codes with Flashpaq, it had transmission range sensor rehabilitation and low battery voltage. I cleared the codes and lights went back to normal operation.
1st Question- Whats the tranny range code mean?
2nd Question- Would the lights do that if the battery voltage was low?
And lastly- Would these be interconnected?

I charged my battery last night, gonna see how long it holds a charge(Sears Gold)

Any insight you guys may have had with prob like this is much appreciated. My electrical knowledge is pretty low on the totem poll with these computers.

Was the transmission code P0706?

Low voltage will cause all kinds of strange things to happen.

I believe so.....

I haven't driven it since I cleared the codes, I'll check the codes again tomorrow and see if it pops up again. rationality, thats it, not rehabilitation.

The code and low voltage could be related.

This is what I have for the code; no mention of low voltage. The closest it gets is circuit open.

P0706-TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR RATIONALITY

Theory of Operation

The C1 through C4 (transmission range switches) Signal circuits communicate the shift lever position to the PCM. Each circuit is terminated at the transmission with a switch. Each switch can be either open or closed, depending on the shift lever position. The PCM can decode this information and determine the shift lever position. Each shift lever position has a certain combination of switches, which will be open and closed, this is called a PRNDL code. There are 4 switches, therefore: there are many possible combinations of open and closed switches (codes). However, there are only 9 valid codes (8 for AutoStick), one for each gear position and three recognized between gear codes. The remainder of the codes should never occur, these are called invalid codes. The following chart shows the normal switch states for each shift lever position.

  • When Monitored: Continuously with the ignition on.
  • Set Condition: The DTC will set if the controller detects an invalid PRNDL code which lasts for more than 0.042 seconds.

Possible Causes
SHIFTER OUT OF ADJUSTMENT
TRS SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
TRS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
TRS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
METAL DEBRIS IN OIL PAN (and on top of the TRS assembly)
TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE

Hmm, thanks ron, figured you'd be the first one to post on this.
Thanks for ALL your help you give on here too.I'll keep everyone posted if anything changes from what I've done.
