Default Battery options??

I need new battery and was wondering what people are running and their experiences with them are longevity wise and quality? I currently have have a die hard in the jeep ran great had it a little more than 3 years and it's just had it. I know about Optima and their stuff but have heard their quality as dipped and they just aren't worth the cash anymore. Just looking for options. Do have lights and run all of them every now and then and I do wheel so it needs to be rugged

Quality of Optima's have definitely gone down. I've used red, blue, and the yellow tops. I'm done with them.

Went to a Duralast Platinum with the "AGM" tech which is the gel version of the battery. 3 year warranty and priced just right.

Put a Optima Red top in 13 months and 35,000 KMS ago when my stock battery started to show signs of lost cells.

No issues very happy.

This past winter was one of coldest in I'd say 25 years. -30c day after day....Jeep cranked without missing a beat.

Those were the ones I was looking at last night. I also was looking at the odyssey batteries but they are pricey and don't know if it's worth it.

Default Sears platinum

The Sears Platinum is an Odyssey AGM battery with a gray top at a lower price. No spill, no fumes, no corrosion, better vibration resistance, less self discharge, and typically more capacity. I've one in the Jeep and two in a diesel truck.

That's what I'd go with or an Odyssey itself like I have it's been great with light bars, windshield lights, winch etc it's a bit more $$$$ but if you have it it's worth it.... Good luck

Sears Platinum is what I went with. As said by others, it's and Gel battery and cheaper than the rest. Also has a replacement warranty instead of the standard pro rated crap offered by most others.

What red top did you install? I'm thinking of the 34R #1003-151. Just wanted to make sure it would fit.
