Default Battery Wire question- pic attached

I recently purchased a 2008 JKU, and noticed this bare wire going to the aux positive side. It looks like a repair was already made. Does anyone know what it might go to, and is this a problem? There is nothing aftermarket that it might be. The other wire is new and goes to the F/R lockers. Thanks for the help identifying it.

That looks like the fusible link from the alternator output.
It probably blew out and someone just spliced it back together.
Assuming the reason it blew was fixed, it should have been replaced with a new fusible link of equal rating.

At the very least, you should wrap the bare wire with electrical tape.
