What's the best beam pattern for a pillar lights?

There was a similar thread where everyone said stay away from wide area light as it will reflect off your hood.

Floods/fogs would be a poor choice. Way too much hood glare. The hood blocks off almost half of the useable light that the floods would throw off. Go for long range lights. Personally thats what i put on mine. 100 watt spots.[attach=config]314140[/attach]

I Ordered rigid D2's driving m
Beam for the fig light and I thought fog/ flood would be ok on the a pillar. So I guess I'm gonna try it out and if I can't stand it I will get a new pair and move those to rear lights.

pencil beams are your best choice. Like others stated your hood will block most of your light with flood/fog lihgts as they are designed to put the light down on the road.
