I just had a custom box made for a JBL GTO 8" sub. It goes under the rear seat and it will pull out so i can put the rear seat down when needed.

That's what I was looking to do. Pics? And how much volume did you end up with? (looks like JBL recommends .58 ft3)

I will try to post pics soon. The sub requires .3 cu/ft sealed. the box is about as big as it can get. I am guessing its around .33-.34 but with the sub displacement its just about right.

if you have the money and the right amount of power (good amp) then JL Audio will never disappoint

Alpine makes a really nice Type R 8 that come in a prefabed box that is only about four inches thick and about 18 wide. The sound that that little 8 emits is incredible.
