bad azz... definately. but I want to stay legal. the other opions are:
1. GTS light covers (but they make your headlights usless)
2. get the headliughts lightly tinted

but if i think the black magic light would be best... if it can be configured to work

There's no way you can make that legal. Also the beam pattern and intensity will be too much for headlights.

Probably the only way you can have almost black headlights and be close to legal is to do a projector setup. Search the forum for projector headlights and you'll come up with some threads. There are some crappy projectors on ebay. And another member made his own and they came out very well and mean looking, just not my taste.

Here you go, you're welcome:

I got 4 sets of those estero fitted with hids. Even before the hids they were very bright. I was also obsessed with blacking out my jeep. I got the screaming lizard hid setup in graphite the only thing is they have a chrome ring around the bulb other then that and they look like boobs there close to blacked out

Have you thought about just simply blacking out your OEM headlights?

All, thanks for the input.... definately saved me from wasting $ and time on somthing that wont work.

mattymat04 thanks for the tip about screamin lizard's HID, they are only showing it in chrome... do you have a pic of the graphite?

I think its either screamin lizzard hid or get my headlights lightly tinted.

NO! Not tinted If my rig was black, I'd;
1) Separate the lens from the reflector
2) Spray paint reflector black
3) RE-mate lense to reflector
I have seen it done on other rigs and it looks cool. Don't know about how well the headlights work afterwards?

Would it be legal if you use a set with 35w globes in them as dims and other set as brights as spots?

Technically, no. Headlight lenses and reflectors must be DOT approved to be used as such.
