Default Brace under driver seat

Want to mount my amp under driver seat but there is some kind of brace in the way. I don't see that it does anything. Can I just cut it off to be able to mount the amp? BTW mine is a 2011 2door

A picture of the brace would be helpful to those who want to say yes or no.

My gut feeling is don't remove anything on the seat that qualifies as a brace.

My 2011 has a bracket under each seat that seems to have no purpose other than supporting the wiring harness on its way to the seat. I've removed part or all of these to make room for things. I used zip ties to support the wiring other ways. You need to account for the fore/aft seat travel when re-attaching the harness.

This is the bracket. Round bracket with no wires attached anywhere. I see no purpose on this bracket.

The seat on my '08 is a little different, but to me, that looks like the seat adjuster lever.

This brace doesn't move at all when I move the seat forward and backward. It's just welded to the sliders on each side. Looks like a bracket that held sliders together while they were bolting seat in place
