Default Can I have dealer flash BEFORE I install hard top?

Ok guys, let me explain first and then the question. I am in the process of purchasing a hard top for my '07. I won't be able to pick it up for a few weeks, but in the meantime I'm going to do some upgrades. I will be installing the Uconnect module as well as cruise control. I know that I will need a flash for the Uconnect. I'm thinking that while I'm doing this, I might as well install the hard top wiring since I'm going to have all that crap apart. My question is this: Can I have the dealer do all the required flashes, including the hard top, without actually having the hard top installed? Does the computer need to "see" the accessories for the flash to be successful? I understand it's a crap shoot then to see if the dealer actually flashed it correctly, but aside from that is it ok to do? Thanks!

The computer "May" look for the new switches for the rear wiper motor, defrost and sprayer. Just ask the service advisor.

Just kidding, figured I would ask here BEFORE I installed everything and head to dealer.

Did you purchase the hard Top Kit which will have a HVAC control unit replacement etc? All is plug and play, unless you are adding Uconnect to a lower end System, meaning you don't have the MyGig RHR or RER which is built in the unit and all you do is add a mic, no flashing...

I think you should be fine to have it all flashed at once without the hardtop there. I know on my 08, in attempting to get my REN and UConnect working, they turned on the Sat TV code like a minivan has and my radio then showed the TV button, even though I didn't have the Sat TV module in the Jeep. I would expect this to be the same.

Wow. Deja Vu . I know a little bit about machine communication systems. It's a small part of what I do for a living. Some comm systems enter a "fault mode" if they loose an address on their list. Some systems just simply generate a fault code if the system changes. Either way, why take the chance. Most likely, the dealer wouldn't even flash a system that hasn't been installed.
