I'm not 100% sure but Im pretty sure its the lense and the actual cone of the light that determine how the light shines and its not the actual bulb

yeah and i see KC sells the lens/reflector for like $34.00--- 4213 - Lens/Ref: Lng Rng for 6" lights , guess that is what it takes. If it is and they are interchangable I would do that rather than buy the whole thing. I have the KC daylite flood lites on my bumper bull bar and they are pretty much worth less to me. I have the Pro comp 100's on the windshild mounts and they are way better, maybe it is location but I need long range lite now. always something!! Thanks for coming back to me. have a good one.

I am 100% sure that you need to change your bulb to long range and you must change the lense and the reflector. Its like 40 bucks and when you could buy the long range in the beginning because you will end up paying 20 bucks cheaper nowi thought about this with my long range kcs
But I just got long range from the beginning

Thank-you for the information. I am going to do that. I wonder if I can pick those up some where in Seattle. I need to do some checking, since I am headed over there Monday. Thanks again,
