If I remember correctly these are your run of the mill KC knock-off lights. 100 watt halogen bulb
They will do the job but I find these type of housings will start rusting up on you pretty quickly.

I would go with black if possible, and then spray some krylon or rustoleam over that. The chrome will rust, and the black would eventually oxidize and rust.
