Default CB in-dash mount ?? Possible???

Thinking about a way to mount a cobra 29 LCD cb in the dash. My thought was to ditch the large stock stereo and install a standard size stereo in the dash and the CB below it. Is it possible? Anyone done this before?? If so , any pics? If not possible , where do you guys and girls mount your cb radios? Was going to go with a cobra 75wxst but now having second thoughts. I like the features of the new 29 LCD.

You have to go with a single DIN sized CB radio. The Cobra 29 LCD is not.
Single DIN dimensions are - 7" wide x 2" high. There is no depth standard for DIN.

Single DIN sized CB radios:
  • Uniden PRO538W (check depth)
  • Cobra 18 WX ST II (most popular choice)
  • Cobra 29 LTD WX-D (hard to find)

Use bracket DIN0020

For use with these radios:

  • Uniden PRO520XL

OR use this bracket DIN0240
