cb mount?
What is the best way to mount a cb in a 2dr hard top. I really don't want it to be mounted to the dash. Can I use an arizonarockyroad radio mount to mount my cb, even with a hard top.

What else is out there to use?

I mounted mine on the pass side console, there is already a bolt there for the console so no drilling or mods required and I ran the cb wire from the back license plate under the carpet and console. It does interfere with the passenger seat sliding all the way forward but I do not carry anyone in the back (2dr) so it is no big deal.
Crappy picture but it is all I have right now.

mine is a 4dr.... mounted on the left side of the console using the same factory screw and a little velcro to keep it from slipping.

it does limit the forward travel of the seat, but it's out of the way otherwise.
W3CSX... isnt that the spot for a supplemental airbag? I poked through the owners manual and thought I saw one that was for the legs down there... only if equiped... but something to be aware of. I dunno if it is an available option or not. ( option ala-mygig

I mounted a Galaxy 95 cb on the middle-top of my dash & it works perfectly. I routed all wiring through the top of the dash so none can be seen, only the CB. I also routed an external speaker & mounted it in front of the transfer case shifter, which works out real well.
And...mounted up there, it doesn't interfere with my vision, doesn't get in the way of my legs & I can transmit for several dozen miles. E-mail me for pics.
Thx
