Default CD player restart

Does anyone else's CD player always go back to the 1st track when you start your Jeep? I haven't found anything in the owners manual about changing this & I'm wondering if it's just mine that does it. I can be anywhere else on the CD but after I've shut the Jeep off & go back later & start it the player starts at the 1st track again. Any help out there?

I remember when I still had the stock one it had a few "bugs" in it. Sometimes it would do what you describe, but sometimes it would pick up where it left off.

It also seemed to cut off the first few seconds of each track.

Yes, mine does it to. I have noticed that when I turn the key off while the CD is playing and turn the key on agian it will go back to the first song. BUT, when I switch off the power on the CD player then turn the jeep off, when I restart it is in the same place again.....strange.

And yes, mine skips the first second of each track to.
Can't wait to replace this thing.
