Check engine + electrical issue

I have a 2013 Jeep wrangler Sahara unlimited. When my check engine light comes on the transmission locks into third gear and does not shift. I’ve cleared it with a diagnostic code reader but it’s becoming persistent. Has anyone suffered this issue?

Welcome to JKF. Do you have any additional or other codes? Sounds like could be going into a Limp in Mode.

Your jeep is protecting itself from damage. Limp mode is not an issue, it's a design. you're gonna have to tell us some codes being thrown if we are to be any help.
