Checking Feasability: Driverside A-Pillar iPhone mount? With hidden power/audio?
Thinking that the best place to mount my iPhone in the jeep is the drivers side A-Pillar. It's also replacing my TomTom GPS, so it needs to be easily glanceable while driving. I want to hide the cables (under dash?) for power/audio (looking at just a dock connector -> audio/USB cable).
Thoughts on the feasibility/insanity/suggestions? I really don't like the metal bracket coming out of the stero (to low) along with suction cups on the windshield.
This is for a 2011 2dr JK
I'd definitely do a writeup so others can do it too!

No One?
I think the most logical mount would be:
http://www.ram-mount.com/NewProducts...9/Default.aspx
and I've read there is about an inch of clearance behind, so it'd also fit. Also good mount for future iPhones...
At least with that mount, you would also be able to film while driving (if a cool ride!).
Anyone, thoughts?

I like the mounts. How do you plan on attaching to A-pillar? I was thinking the RAM RAIL U-BOLT MOUNT UNIVERSAL X-GRIP, but do not use the "U" mount, screw the clasp to the A-pillar. That is my thoughts.
I was just thinking the flat mount and screw it threw the plastic. Granted more permanent, but I don't plan on using anything than an iPhone for a long time. Plus if really needed another mount ram is a company that will be around
