Default Cluster change

Was wondering if anyone has ever replaced there cluster with an iPad or android tablet? I saw it done on the "micro-stang" on west coast customs and wanna do it in the jeep anyone have any info?

You might get more responses if you change Title to MyGig unit or Head Unit because Cluster refers to Speedometer or Instrument Cluster.....Good luck

That wouldn't be possible without adding more modules then it could handle....pretty much from your dome light, HVAC, Brakes, Heated Mirror, seats, powertrain, transaxle , horn, radio, etc etc would all need a module to accept this and more for CanBus to process and control what it needs to etc.
Then hardware for the gauges stashed somewhere with an output.

It would pretty much just be a Display with all these add-ons taking up space. Chrysler already has something like what you are talking about maybe, the Dart has a completely customizible Cluster Display but it has all these things designed and built in micro size...LOL...

He just said that he was talking about the speedometer cluster not the Audio system which is what alot have done as a display for Infotainment systems....

You could use the guts from your cluster and convert analogs to Digital outputs...
