Default Code P0481 fan 2 control circuit

I'm new here, so thanks for taking the time to read this! Was recommended to join this group buy a friend as I'm having a few electrical issues I have no idea how to fix.

My 2007 Wrangler jku has thrown code p0481 a few times now. The first time I check the code they recommended I replace tipm, second time and third time it only said fan 2 control circuit.

Any insight into this? Dealer here locally seems to have no clue.

On my 2012 I had a fan circuit problem. Turns out it was due to a loose battery terminal. Tightened the terminal and the fault and higher temps went away

From the service manual...
P0481 (2008)
Set Condition:
The PCM is requesting the TIPM to turn on the Cooling Fan On and it is not operating. One Trip Fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.
Possible Causes
  • CAN C BUS FAILURE
  • ENGINE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR DTCS SET
  • COOLING FAN CONTROL CIRCUIT DTCS SET IN THE TIPM
  • PCM
Hopefully there is actually another DTC that will get you closer. I'd start by activating the fan on high with a scan tool/software and see if it works.
