Default Component or coaxials?

Ordering sound system upgrades this week. Alpine HU, Alpine Power Pack, Polk coaxials in the sound bar. I'm curious on the front speakers. Will coaxials in the speaker pods sound good. Or should I go through the extra hassle of installing components? Just debating on if it's worth installing tweeters and crossovers.

I have not done my speakers yet, but I would say for the rear sound bar if your intention is to just use the sound from there as a rear fill, then it's probably not worth the hassle of components. I'm going to stick with coaxials back there. Components are great for raising the sound stage up which won't be a factor for the sound bar. There's some debate about components sounding better than a comparable coaxial, but that's up to your ear.

I'm talking about the front componets or just 6.5 coaxials.

I've personally never done this on the Wrangler, but I did on my Trans Am. Night and day difference, components all the way up front. This seems to be the general consensus here, components up front, coaxials in the sound bar. You'll get better sound regardless just by switching the HU and using the power pack.

Some will argue that you do not need to replace the factory tweeters, but IMO, I would replace them as long as you can get a clean looking install. The JBL's in my Trans Am sound better than my Wrangler's factory ones, and fit in the TA's factory location with no modification. If they don't fit nicely, then I would not upgrade the tweeters. Enjoy your new sound regardless!
