Default connector locatation for the 2013 auto dim rear view mirror?

I figured it would be right underneath the upper panel, but it actually runs all the way to the driver A-pillar somewhere.
I dont like the map lights coming on when unlocking the doors, i just like the dome light.
so, i was going to try to just disconnect the harness to the mirror.
if anyone knows and could tell me that would be great, thanks

If you disconnect it, I think you'll lose the auto dim too...

I dont really need the auto dim. And the bulbs seem to be sealed leds. No access to change or remove them...

Maybe. But should be removable.

Could you post how you performed this? I'd like to do the same. The map lights seem useless and when I install led in the rear dome they won't go off. So I have led in front dome light and stoch in rear. It looks bad

Is the '13 map light mirror that bad/useless? I was thinking about looking for one to add to my 08. If anyone wants to off theirs, PM me.

It was a good idea. But where the light shines is useless. I want mine off so I can run led in the rear dome light.

I have the same problem. Never thought it would have related to the LEDs I installed. I have been dealing with the dealership to get it fixed and they havent been able to fix the problem so far. They tried installing a different mirror and another wiring harness. Now another gauge cluster is on order because they found out that the map lights are now getting back fed from the cluster. Were you able to fix this problem without removing the dome LEDs?
