Control Module Harness Wrapped Around Steering Column
A couple of days ago I started my 2012 JK Sport (6-sp) and it was running really rough. The trottle control warning light was on. The check engine light was on. The cooling fan was was blowing balls-to-the-walls and I could barely turn the wheel.
Crazy, I know. The independent repair shop said the control module harness was wrapped around the steering column. The control module and harness are severely damaged. Damage to other components is unknown. Independent shop said they would not touch it so I had it towed to a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep Dealer.
I've never seen something loke this, so forgive me for asking a few stupid qiestion.
1. Has anyone else seen this before?
2. Does it sound like a "fluke" or could it have been vandalized?
3. Any ballpark quesses regarding $ to repair?
