Default Custom sub box build JKU

So what I am going for is being able to put a Alpine 12'' type X sub in the back. I am going to make the rear tub into a fiberglass so I can have the sub sit as low as possible. The next thing will be to add a false floor so when the top is off it will look like just a floor and It will also serve as an amp rack. Then of course everything will get carpet on it after it is done.

Here are some pictures of the process so far.

Looks great! How are you joining the fiberglass and the wood, is it just bonded by the resin?

Yes the resin makes the bond.

Thanks not a lot of people know about the type X from alpine. I have a pdx-m12 to push them with.

I had all high end Alpine in my S2000... All Type-X except the sub Type-X sub... It was just to much for the car. I've installed a few over the years, in the right box with the right power and tune they are amazing subs.

I personally have not heard this sub yet, but I am excited to get the build done, I should be in at 1.2 ~ 1.4 ft³ when done. I also have the pdx-m6 pushing my component type-r speakers, seems like they can almost make your ears bleed while still sounding clear!
