I used an XM Satellite receiver mount that was there when I bought the Jeep. Cut the mounting tap and used heavy duty velcro on the mount and on the back of my ipod. I can take a picture if you want.

I was thinking of putting some switched in the same place as you did. Can you give some detail on how you did it or how difficult it was to install the switches in the factory panel?
