Cut EGR Wire causing C.E.L.
My check engine light was on. It turned on a couple of months back when my axles blew up. I thought it was related to the axle issues so it was not a huge issue. I finally took it in to the dealership yesterday.
They found my driver side EGR wire cut.
It was cleanly cut in a manner consistent with wire cutters.
I can't figure out who did it, why, or when?
It set me back $292.
That is with the oil change and lube. (It's cold and I didn't want to lay on the concrete)
It seemed like a pretty fair price and they were able to get me going in under 3 hours. I'm happy to have the CEL off.

Sounds more like an oxygen sensor. There are four of them; two on each side.
The EGR valve is on the back of the passenger's side cylinder head.
