Just bought the jeep really like it except the dash lights turn off after driving it for a while. You can mess with the switch all you want all it does is turn on the interior light when you turn it all the way but the dash lights do not come on. You can park and go in the store come back out same problem. I just put a new battery in it AGM battery. What do you think?

 

I believe the common ground for both the cluster and dash backlighting goes through the multifunction switch (the stalk). I can't say for certain that is your issue, but that is what I would be looking at closely. I can't explain why the stalk cycles the dome light like it should but the other lights are cutting out. This is one of those things that if this was my jeep, I might throw a new multifunction stalk at it since it's not too pricey and an easy swap as an initial step.
