Default Dash stays lit after door removal

Hello, I just noticed this. Usually when I remove my doors, I put them back on when I get home. I decided to leave my doors off for a couple days since the weather is nice. I noticed that the odometer, compass, and thermometer stay lit and don’t go out. Is this normal? I don’t want to kill my battery. Is there a way to shut this off? 2013 JKU Rubicon

thanks,
Chris

How long are you given them to turn off? Saying they'd stay on for hours? There is a setting in the computer to tell it how long you want that stuff to stay on after the ignition is killed. Are you sure you don't have that set to several minutes and just never noticed it when the doors are on but you are now with no doors? It would not be normal for them to stay on indefinitely.

Go through your dash option user settings and double check the "key off power display". Set that to "off" and see if it changes what you're observing. 10 minutes is the max so what you're seeing is unusual but it's at least worth double-checking this as a starting point.
