The heater blower on my 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is starting to chirp and I suspect a bearing is about to go. I've looked around for a replacement and there is a wide range of prices between OEM and local auto store units. Is there a decent quality non-OEM replacement unit out there or should I bite the bullet and get an OEM blower? Any brands to specifically avoid?
I've not dug into part diagrams to see if this is the current part number or an old one, but if you're talking the price difference being $80-100 for aftermarket, and ~$200 for Mopar, I think I'd go with the actual Mopar unit. When prices start getting in the $300-500 range for certain things is when that OEM pinch is really felt. I know I use the heck out of my heater/blower/ac and it's not an item I think I'd cheap out on primarily cuz it seems like you get what you pay for when it comes to plastic and bearings.
