Did you use your stock tweeters when upgrading the front speakers?

Do you mind telling what model # Boston tweeter you used. Did you replace the 6.5 dash
speaker with the tweeter? Did you use the crossover included with the tweeters or
did you find that the tweeters are allready crossed over by the infinity amp? Thanks!

Man your getting some good stuff here. 100% agreement change them out. You don't realize how bad they are until you change them. Component speakers will be the cheapest and easiest way to go. Don't be afraid to modify some, the will look better and you will have pride in what you did.

Now for installation, don't know you jeeps year but in my 08 you need to unbolt the tweeter pod from dash. Bolt behind pod. Pod should pop right out. Now I don't remember 100% but the tweeter should just have a snug fit into the pod. Use a flat head screw driver too pry and pop tweeter from pod. Now it's up to what tweeter you have and how far you want to take it. My pictures below are of polk db's, I used a dremal to make the hole larger and supplied metal bracket to lock inside of pod.

Good luck!
