Post Difference in light beams?

I was looking at buying 5 KC dayligthers for a roof mounted light bar when i noticed that there are fog, flood, and driving(spread beam) patterns. I was wondering what the difference was and what do you think would be the best possible combo/setup.

If it were me, I would probably do the inside three as pencil beams(or the closest thing to that that they come in), and the outside two in flood light beams.

Maybe someone here has better advice though.
