Default Disabling Power Lock on trunk door?

Is there a way to disable the power lock on the tailgate? I would like to have it not unlock when someone hits the unlock button inside my jeep.

If there's not an easy way, does anyone know which wire needs to be unhooked to accomplish this?

I would just take the access hatch on the tailgate off and look at the switch. If you the plug off of the power lock switch it will quit working and you'd have to use the key to unlock / lock it.

yeah, that sounds about right. And if you need some pics to help you locate this have a search through this forum for aftermarket lock actuators, there's a great write up with pics to help you out

here's the thread courtesy of James76, just pop that plastic access panel off no tools required just pull on it, have a peak in and you should see the plug to the actuator, unhook and problem solved
