Ok i have decided i must upgrade the head unit at least in my jeep. Now i am not into earth pounding bass and the factory amp/sub (Infinity upgraded) sounds fine to me. I have searched on here and havent really found much info on the 5120 series. I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 650 and an 80gb ipod classic. I am a very lazy SOB and having these peripherals laying loose inside the jeep with the top down, while i run into the store is asking for trouble. So i am looking at buying a Kenwood DNX-5120 because i can mount the ipod in the glove box (the 5120 will control the ipod as well as charge it so basically it will be a jumbo jump drive) and the garmin can get sold as it is built into the 5120. I dont really have the desire or the need to replace the entire infinity system as i payed extra for it in the first place. I also see that there are a few different adapters that plug into the factory harness and allow you to use a h/u such as this with the factory amp. I am curious which is the best and should i have any other concerns? Speakers will follow shortly after but for now i am worried about getting all the loose equipment hidden.
