Does REQ DVD unit play mp3 files?

Default Does REQ DVD unit play mp3 files?
I am thinking of upgrading from the RES single CD head unit to the REQ DVD head unit. Can anyone who has the REQ answer this question: Will this unit play mp3 files burned on a DVD-ROM disk? I can fit quite a few mp3 files on a burned CD and I figured a DVD would hold that many more than a CD. Any feedback on this issue is appreciated. I have a bit of birthday/Christmas cash and I am seriously thinking of buying a REQ if I can find one for sale on this forum.

Yes, it'll play CDs or DVDs with mp3 files on them. The REQ will also play WMA format files as well, whereas the RES will only do mp3s

It will also play DVD movies and has video out with a simple mod.
