Default Dome Light Removal

How would I remove the actual dome light so that I can access it's wiring? I have taken off the bar and am afraid I'll break something by simply prying it with a flathead screwdriver.

I am planning on wiring LEDs to turn on instead of the dome light but keeping it there incase I need some normal white light with a separate switch.
Thanks
