Default Door Lock Question

I read the FAQ about having the auto unlock feature and for some reason I can't get mine to work. It's such a pain in the ass to get out and try to open any other door and they are still locked. I have a Sahara so I assume I should be able to change this. I read through the owners manual and just don't see anything on it. Thanks.

See if this works:

Set the locks to auto-lock at 15 mph and auto unlock all when either front door is opened
.
Get in the Jeep, insert the key. Cycle the key from insertion position to "on" position 5 times, upon completing the 5th cycle make sure the key ends in the "on" position, press the unlock switch down once. The locks will actuate and a tone will sound. Programming is complete.

Was your door open, or closed, when you tried it?
There's a chance these steps don't work on the '07s.

I tried it both ways, would really suck if it didn't work for the 07's but that's normally the way my luck runs.

Just wondering On position referring to first position-accessory on? Or second position-run? Could be the stopper for the reset. Not at all talking about third position-start.

I went from completely off all the way to on, not start but where the warning lights come on for self check. I noticed that now the doors don't auto lock but this was the day after I did the procedure with the door locks down twice.

Sounds like your '07 responds to the programming procedures, then.

Now try it again with the button on the door down once.

I haven't tried anything else yet but today something wierd happened. After about 15 minutes of driving the door locks locked, I was doing about 60 at the time. I guess there is a small possibility that I bumped it with my knee but it's doubtful. Kinda strange huh.
