Hey all, gonna be purchasing a new front bumper and winch soon so i was wondering is it necessary to run dual batteries for the winch?

No, if you have a good alternator and a well maintained battery, then you'll be fine.

I agree I have a winch and use one battery and it works perfectly fine.

Just get a good deep cycle battery, and you will be good to go
