Default DVD help and IPhone help

Just got a new 2011 rubi unlimited with navi. Is there a way to watch dvd's without having to be in park? Also is there a way to play videos from my iPhone onto the jeeps video screen? Thanks.

Look up the mygig lockpick I am going over to this soon since the RHB can not connect to the iPhone with just the iPhone cable. The dealership tried the new cable and couldn't get it to work. So they called the big service people in the sky and they said that I needed the whole uconnect system. What crap since I was told from day one that alls I would need was the cable. Plus I think the lockpick is cheaper than adding the uconnect anyways. Take a look.

I have the uconnect in the jeep. So now what do I need to do. My iPhone plays music but won't play vids onto the screen. I checked out the lockpick thing that seems pretty cool.

What iPhone do you have? I can't even play music from the iphone with the cable plugged into the console.

Never knew you could play videos from the iphone.

The lockpick seems like it could be an great addition. I am wanting to add a reverse back up camera.

Yes, the lock pick or navtv unit are both great. Ive have very good luck with the navtv product and there customer service is very good.

I stream video on iPhone to uconnect as well as rear headrest monitors.

I don't think that you can play video with the connect and cable. Or at least I haven't heard.

I have the iPhone 4 just my music library plays from the USB. Pandora won't play unless I use the aux port.

On the latest Uconnect (Mygig) on my 2011 Jeep, It has the USB port in the center console. Which and also slightly different software that displays ipod/iphone playlists and music. (I opted for the 730N Uconnect which is fully compatible with NavTV and Lockpick).

You do need a NavTV/Lockpick to view videos and other streaming services that do not use the normal ipod audio features. When you have a NavTV you will get a menu called VES which displays videos and other audio applications.

Also, I did a video on youtube a few years back on how to display ANY application (Netflix, Hulu, SlingPlayer, Maps, HUD etc.) from your iPhone on your Mygig screen. It does require you to Jailbreak your iPhone and run an application called TVOutTuner.
