DVD help and IPhone help
Just got a new 2011 rubi unlimited with navi. Is there a way to watch dvd's without having to be in park? Also is there a way to play videos from my iPhone onto the jeeps video screen? Thanks.
Look up the mygig lockpick I am going over to this soon since the RHB can not connect to the iPhone with just the iPhone cable. The dealership tried the new cable and couldn't get it to work. So they called the big service people in the sky and they said that I needed the whole uconnect system. What crap since I was told from day one that alls I would need was the cable. Plus I think the lockpick is cheaper than adding the uconnect anyways. Take a look.

Never knew you could play videos from the iphone.
The lockpick seems like it could be an great addition. I am wanting to add a reverse back up camera.
I stream video on iPhone to uconnect as well as rear headrest monitors.

You do need a NavTV/Lockpick to view videos and other streaming services that do not use the normal ipod audio features. When you have a NavTV you will get a menu called VES which displays videos and other audio applications.
Also, I did a video on youtube a few years back on how to display ANY application (Netflix, Hulu, SlingPlayer, Maps, HUD etc.) from your iPhone on your Mygig screen. It does require you to Jailbreak your iPhone and run an application called TVOutTuner.
