I have the 6 disc in dash DVD/CD player. I am looking to burn a large portion of my collection to a DVD (for capicity) and play MP3s in my Jeep. I recently burned a DVD-R with folders and files in the root directory and it did not like it.
I would like to know (1) are MP3 files readable on DVDs and (2) are there any special formating instructions?
Thanks

From my understanding it can read a dvd with mp3 on it.
I think the downfall is all files must be in the root directory with no folders.
Which means the song you want might be track 200.
You'll be in track skip hell.
But at least it will play movies with a hack and an lcd.

Hey folks,
Am I readin the manual right on this? The maximum number of files on the DVD is 255? Or is that 250 in each of the 100 allowed folders?
I made a test DVD earlier with 250 files in 4 folders, plays great. But hardly take advantage of the DVD storage capacity, ya know? Seems like I could just use CD-R's instead if that's all it will read...
Yee. Hawr.
