i dunno if this is necisarilly bad (despite it is obviously not good). Happened to me also and fixed itself. Hasnt happened since. Also made a thread about this and got responses from a few other members saying the same thing. I would say check it out if it happens again

I'm one of the others who had it happen... Mine lasted more like 15 minutes before it came back on.

Again, hasn't happened a second time...

Next time it happens, shut everything off and remove the key. Disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable for a few minutes. Reconnect it. I'll bet everything will be back to normal. It may fix itself anyway, but this could speed it up a little, and you will feel like you actually did something constructive.
As always, when working on the battery, wear eye protection.

Mine pretty much reset itself. I did nothing to help it at all.

I was pretty much getting in to go to work, turned the engine on, and noticed my radio wasn't working. Then I noticed my dash wasn't working... and also noticed my headlights were on, even though the switch was off. My blinkers didn't work either...

I drove the 20 minutes to work in this way, and when i got there, I broke out the manual. While reading, there was a big "CLICK" behind the dash, and suddenly everything came alive...

That's what I would do - reboot your jeep.

There is a gnome that runs everything under the dash....he falls asleep time to time. I wish we could hook up our PC's/laptop's up to the OBII port and have control of everything.

how cold was it when u were wheeling? did you give her a bath afterwards? I'm thinking something got wet and cold, =frozen. Similar to leaving a laptop in the car overnight when it's 30 degrees or colder out..bring it inside plug it in see what happens.........more then likely nothing until it defrosts 15-20 minutes later...problem is when it defrosts and starts wet things short out...like just happened to my laptop. but this is a car...not a computer it is supposed to be outside so things shouldn't short out...but then again they shouldn't need time to warm up before they work again. hmmm..
