EXPERTS on LIGHTS?
Is there anyone here that knows the ins and outs of lights? I installed a set of Hella Black Magic lights not a month ago and now they're not working. I replaced both fuses, changed out the relay, changed out the switch...it's hard-wired directly to the battery....the switch light is actually illuminating so I know it's drawing power....but when I turn the switch on, the lights don't come on, I just here a click like it's not making it past the relay....if anyone's willing to help, I'll give you my number and maybe someone can tell me their thoughts?
thanks, Sam

are you sure you replaced the relay with an exact match?
checked the bulbs?
ground at relay?
power feed from battery to relay? (fuse, fuse socket, wire continuity)
ground at lights?
continuity to lights from relay?

did not check the bulbs -- would they have gone out that fast? Only had the lights like a month? checked the relay for exact match (new one sent directly from hella), the ground was good at the relay and each light was grounded...the switch and relay power were run straight to the battery (and again, the switch was drawing power and the relay was clicking).....???

did you hit any water? could have blown the bulbs.
if your relay is clicking it has power and ground, but may be bad internally not routing power through from the battery or maybe not gettting power from the battery itself:
did you check your feed to the relay from the battery for a good connection?
the fuse in that line?
the fuse socket (i had one go bad once, wire pulled out of the socket)

hmmm well I replaced the fuses
and again, the switch is getting power from the relay so surely the lights would be getting power as well? I guess the water thing is an option...what's the best way to check the bulbs on these type of lights? Anything specific I should be looking for?
Thanks again, Sam
