Factory on-dash navigation
I am considering buying the nav unit (Garmin) that attaches and has a docking unit on the dash.
Does anyone have it and what is the concensus on it?

I bought a Garmin Quest 2 off eBay based on the fact that it's the same unit as the trailguide. So far I love it-- the screen is a little small, but the portability of the unit can't be beat.
We use it in the vehicle going to the fishing spots, and then I take it out and put it in the canoe so we can see exactly where we are on the lake!

I have the unit in my JK. I just installed it last week. I love it. I was at GWNF and it knew where I was on the trail. Pretty cool. I love it so far.
I have the Jeep cradle etc cause I wanted it to look factory. So far very pleased with it.

the package deal is nice. i'm just having a hard time scraping up the money for it.
it'd be nice if the price came down little, but given the history od dealer-only stuff.. probably not. no competition.

You can find the Quest 2 on eBay four around $320 usually (used); all you'd be missing is the docking station + jeep dealership locations as waypoints, otherwise it's the exact same unit.
If the factory docking station is really something you know you'll want though, you can get the Jeep branded version for $550 or so online.
The dock by itself is around $200, if you already have a Quest 2, that'd be the cheapest route to take.
