Default Failed Remote Start, Check Engine Light

Hello everyone,

I just got a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon about a month or so ago. This morning, I went to remote start the Jeep and it failed. When I started it up, I had a check engine light on (yellow, no flashing). I think I had my windshield wipers on from where it was raining last night, and possibly that caused the remote start to fail and have the ECU send an error? I am hopefully going to check the code when I get off from work today but I was just curious if anyone else has ever had this issue. I believe that the remote start is factory btw, and I’ve already checked the gas cap to make sure that is on tight.

Remote start will always fail if the check engine is on. Get the code and solve the issue then your remote start should be fine.
