Took the Jeep into the dealer today after hearing a clicking noise under the hood coming from the fuze box. It ocurred after I turned it off. Ended up draining the battery.
i have read the posts about the TIPM issue and the fact that at least back in Aug they were on backorder.
I purchased an after market extended warranty from Route 66 through my financial institution. They are sending out an adjuster tomorrow to loook at it and determine what they will cover. This should be interesting.

 

I replaced my TIPM this week. My low speed on my engine cooling fan would not come on. $275 from the dealer. an easy DIY if your not a knuckle head. I removed the old one and had the new TIPM in in under 10 minutes. There are thread in the forum on how to replace it.

 

I had my TIPM meltdown today after just having my 08 Sahara in the shop yesterday for scheduled service. Upon calling the dealer and advising them of what happened they seamed very eager to help and take care of the problem. They sent a flat bed right away and diagnosed the problem as a blown TIPM. Im nervous after reading all of the horror stories regarding this problem.
I Just wanted to know how you made out? Did the dealer fix yours or did route 66 have to step in?

 

I also wanted to know if you had any other problems with the TIPM or other systems since?
