Who found a way throught he firewall on a 6-speed?

I used the same hole, on passenger side, so close to battery.

Stick a key, or flat nail file etc. in the very top, and gently pry out until you can get hold of it and pop the 4 tabs out.. Easily done. You will have to wiggle the bottom out as it goes behind the door frame a little..
After i reamed it out some with the Phillips I took a stiff wire and followed it attached the the wire I was pulling.. A snap really..!
Also used those tie wraps..stick on holder thingy (extra's from the grille screen mod) to keep the wires run along the side of the inner hood track, right to the Batt.

Here is a safe and tool less way to take off the side panel. This will insure no gouging of the plastic. Grab the outer ring of the air vent above the glove box and turn to the right. This will unlock the vent allowing you to pull it out. This will then give you access to the back of the side panel allowing you to push it out from the inside.
