Default Firewall hole for my amp! Help!

Ok I searched, I've tried the foam holes on the passenger and driver side, but I CANNOT get my 4 guage power wire through them at all. Under the cowl of my my 09' Sahara 2-door there is a piece of metal in there preventing me from getting the fat wire through.

I can't find any other free holes, I have a standard too so that's out. Really don't want to drill through the firewall....

Suggestions?

I taped my wire to a clothes hanger and pushed it through.

Is it the same in the 09? Doesn't look like it'll fit for me... I tried with another method and no luck. It's not a clear shot through the hole, there's very clearly metal in there.

I don't have any wire hangers here ("NO WIRE HANGERS!!!!").

Ugh I've been working on this all day. Got the front separates in, the rears wired and dynamatted... still got a long way to go.

I looked for a place to drill a firewall hole but there wasn't any obvious place.

It is a lot of work, but I ran a pair of of #10 (30A circuit) wires thru the rubber grommet on the passenger side under the battery into the passenger compartment.

Take the battery out, the battery holder out and then it is easy. Looks like a factory job when you are finished.

Somewhere else I read a suggestion to use the hole where the windshield washer tubing goes through. Follow it from the tank to the firewall. It is near the Brake Master Cylinder.

The grommet is formed to the tubing so you will have to carefully cut out a notch in the grommet to allow the 4AWG to run next to the tubing.

Hmm, which one? The foam one looks the same as the passenger side.

I have a manual so I don't have that clutch hole.

I did see the large factory harness on the passenger side. Still haven't gotten the battery out to get in there though.

I think he's talking about the one on page 5:

It's pretty visible when you pop the hood open. Those instructions aren't super-clear...

Default Power wire

There is another rubber gromet that is just under the brake cylinder on the drivers side firewall. it is prob 1 inch hole so there is plenty of room. there is another one above the brake cylinder with a hose going through it but use the bottom one it goes through just to the left and above the brake pedal if your looking from the inside. the rubber is real thin you dont even have to cut it just poke your wire through it . 4ga that must be for some big sound!!!

I finally got the wire through the passenger side foam hole. I tied a smaller wire to the eye loop on the amp power cable, pulled hard and it finally slid through. It's not as tight as I had originally thought

Nice location for it, easy to work in there.
