Default FM Static from 730N when using cigarette lighter

Hi all. I installed a 730N in my 2012 JK (replaced base radio unit) and have had no issues. For the first time in this jeep I attempted to use a phone charger in the cigarette lighter. When I plug in the charger, my FM radio gets very static-y. All stations. It isn't a total washout but the signal degrades at least 75%. This does not happen on AM. THis happens even if the phone isn't charging, although that makes sense as the charger is drawing power to illuminate and LED. This happened with two chargers. I can't say if it happened before the 730N as I don't recall plugging in a charger.

Anyone experience this? Any thoughts?

FM stations are more succeptible to intereferance than AM. Check your antenna conection and grounds both of which can cause this. As for you phone charger there is a transformer in there that works reguardless of the phone pluged in.
