Question Fog lights on low beam

I know someone has the answer to this question but I haven't found it yet on this forum. I am installing a set of Delta fog lights in my XHD winch bumper and Im trying to figure out how to wire it so the lights can only be switch on when the low beams are or and turn off when switching to high beams. This is the law in VA (and I gather others also). I used all the wiring that came with the Delta kit including the relay and the LED switch.

My question is: which wire do I tap into under the dash?

Your question is a little more diffacult than it sounds. Without getting into a relay discussion again, have you considered buying the mopar kit. Since you already have the lights this would be some what of a waste. But you would have the benafit of all the factory parts?

I have the delta kit already installed per the instructions so im not inclined to spend more $$ in more parts that shouldn't be necessary. They do not specify in the instructions which power wire under the dash to tap into. I know people have installed this kit before so my basic question to them is: How did you do it?

Well, without too much trouble. And using what you already have. You will need to get a relay and have it powered by your high beams. Basicaly what you want to do is that when the relay is actavated by turning on your high beams, the relay will interupt the power to either your switch or the lights. Other than using factory equipment, this is the only way I know how to do it. Your factory system is controled by the computer. There are no such wires or relays under the dash or hood that I am aware of. I could be more specific on the instalation if you like.

Ok i figured it out:
The delta kit (and I assamue most other light kits) came with a red switch power wire thats supposed to go from the switch to ignition power under the dash. To tie into the low beam circuit, instead run a longer wire (same gauge) to the driver side headlight using the white wire with a blue stripe. This enables the foglight switch when the low beams are on and disables it when the highbeams are on. To use the fogs when headlights are off requires the use of a second relay.
thanks again for your help jk-ford.
