Default Footswitch for Driving Lights

A floor mounted headlight dimmer switch works great as an alternative to the usual toggle switch for driving lights, the one is from an old Ford, it's mounted in a comfortable position next to the kick panel using 5/16 self drilling sheet metal screws.

Nice.

Your second picture immediately struck a chord with me.
Lots of my early vehicles had those for the high beams.
My first Chevy pickup had a similar switch to the right of the gas pedal for the starter.

This does really work well. My 50" light bar and driving lights are using this. Also an easy way to mount it is to put it on a dead pedal.
I have used several of these. Just make sure that you get an OEM part. The cheap switches from China don't last long.
