Hows it sound? Did you upgrade the Amp as well, or running off the factory Infinity?

the magnet on the woofer is huge!!!! so of course I had to use some spacers. I just cut a couple of spacers out of some MDF. I didn't know if I was going to like the woofer in there so I used ruber gaskets to seal between the spacers, woofer, and enclosure. The factory subwoofer can be bolted right back in. The sound is really good for an 8" sub. I am pushing it with a kicker kx600.1 that is mounted under the drivers seat:

This amp is overkill for this tiny sub, but I used to have a 12" on my tailgate:

I am planning to use a PDX5 in the factory location with a fosgate 60.2 to clean up the signals. One step at a time I guess.

thanks man
i think a lot of people are going for the pdx 5 amp. i dont have a clue what a reasonable power for a sub is. the pdx5 says its 300W for the sub line and 70W for each speaker but is that good? and what size/model sub would be suitable? would i need another amp for the sub or not?

all depends on what the sub requires. Make sure when buying an amp you look at the RMS power, as long as it is within the requirements of the sub you should be ok. 300w should be able to shove around any 8" speaker on the market.

wanted a little more cargo room. Something I could just throw my backback in with and stuff. Once I get a grill on this one, it wont take much care. Plus I am going to have to hang a 35" MT on my gate until I can afford a swing away. I want to keep the weight down.
