Default Front Passenger Door Problem

2007 Wrangler Unlimited; Opening the front passenger door does not trigger the dome light to come on. Opening it does register on the dash as "door" letting me know the door is open. The remote on the key does lock and unlock that door.

All other doors, including the tailgate trigger the light. Only the passenger front door does not trigger the dome light.

I checked the connector for removing the door. Pins look good, nothing bent or broken. All the pins seem to be at the same level. No corrosion on pins nor sockets. I cleaned with contact cleaner and the problem persists. Any other thoughts?

After fiddling with it, it no longer registers the “door” message on the dash. The window still goes up and down though. Any help is appreciated

What should I check?

Welcome from GA! I have not had this problem but since it is one door it seems it will probably be a wire or connection. I know you checked the connectors but maybe there is a broken or damaged wire from the latch to the connector. You could start by checking the wires and/or the voltage that triggers this.
