Default Front and Rear Cameras

For those of you who are looking for a nice back-up camera solution I have installed a rear back up camera as well as a front approach camera. These are Audiovox Cameras and Audiovox's Rear View Mirror with a 4-inch built in monitor which becomes visible as a mirror when not viewing the monitor.
Each Rear View Mirror comes with 1 Camera, and an additional camera can be added as seen beneath the front bumper of my JK. Each camera can be controlled from the mirror, but it defaults to the rear camera when put into reverse if properly installed. What's really cool is each camera has sound and it can be heard from the built-in speaker behind the rear view mirror.

Default Price

Thanks! The camera and the rear view mirror comes together for $299, but then an additional camera will set you back another 99 bucks. Sorta pricey, but it gets the job done. I can't see with a 35 inch tire behind me, and the last thing I need is to run someone over.

Default Rear View Mirror mounting

This mirror doesn't require you to move your existing mirror. The new mirror comes with fastener straps that connect to your existing mirror. Their is no vibration or movement at all. I would have preferred to remove the existing one and replace it with just the new one, but it's not all that bad. Overall it fits well and does the job.

Default Cameras

You can use the rear or front camera while in drive. Here's a link for Best Buy. Most of the Best Buy stores should carry these. They are usually not on display, but if you ask they are typically locked up. Good Luck!
