Default Fuse Block-is it safe?

Okay, I don't know much about electrical stuff, want comments from people knowledgable- is this safe the way I have it hooked up? Havn't hooked the +pos to battery yet. The relay is 30amp auto reset, I don't plan on fastening it to the firewall- just hang there- is that dangerous? Joe

I have the same 12 circuit fuse block mounted to the top of the engine fuse block cover with 2 screws - better to keep it secure so it does not move around while wheeling. My + cable comes off the fuse block to a 100AMP resettable fuse located to the left (passenger side) of the battery. The block capacity is 125 AMPs so you could go a lot bigger on the circuit breaker than the 30 amp you have (you say relay but you must mean breaker right?). I got the breaker at AZ for pretty cheap. If you keep the inputs to the screw terminals long enough there is room to keep the block mounted on top of the engine fuse block and still be able to swing open the engine block cover. And yes there is room to close the hood without damaging the accessory block. Jeep is in the shop so unable to snap pics right now.

Default oops

Yes- I meant "circuit breaker". The fuse block is bolted to a ATV battery spacer wich is zip tied to the top edge of battery box. First pic shows where I unhooked factory wiring- moved to under fuse block.

Default fuse block

I got mine from boaters world- I think it was just under $50.00, the 6 circuit was about $10.00 cheaper. It is made by Blue seas- Designed for boats- but people use them on Jeeps, motorcycles etc. Joe

How about a name and maybe model.. could then google for a local or online shop that sells it.
I am sure many would find that one very usable.

i work in a starter and alternator shop and when looking at your pictures i noticed that you have that red spray on you terminals and i have had nothing but bad luck with that stuff it dont usually keep a battery terminals from corroading and makes a mess the best thing i have found is to run a dry cell battery but thats just my two cents

The fuse block is secure- but I wanted to leave the circuit breaker loose- not fastened to anything- do you see a problem with that?
